FRIPPENATOR

2026, February 4th

Myeello... I'm writing this as I wait for rush hour to cool down. I'm going to do some life drawing portraits afterwards. Yesterday, when I first got out of my car after parking, I found a one dollar bill next to my car. When I got back from class, there was a ten dollar bill. I don't know if I'm lucky or if someone is leering at me from the distance like I'm a mouse eyeing cheese under a box trap, but I got eleven bucks for doing nothing. Yay?

I'm definitely liking my class workload a lot more this semester. Two studio art classes and an art history class. I sorta kinda already took the art history class last spring semester, however that was an art appreciation class, and it was the professor's first time teaching at my campus. Basically, a much more condensed version of both Art History I (prehistoric to Renaissance) and II (Baroque to contemporary). I'm such a smartass and want to answer every question during the lecture, but for like, half of them or so, the professor always clarifies "If you've taken one of my classes before, do not answer" LOL. She's awesome, though. Almost everything is analogue this time around and I'm so happy that I don't have to use our absolute dogshit LMS. Also I just forget to do things at home. So.

Had a doctor's appointment between classes today and I'm fully cleared for all physical activity!!!! Yay!!!! I am so happy. I can finally wash my damn hair without having to fill a cup and awkwardly douse it over my head. Also I can go to the gym... very exciting stuff. Told the nurse about the neuropathy I randomly developed post-operation and it turns out it's just some weird nerve stuff. Any time I looked up my symptoms, the World Wide Web would tell me that I was either diabetic, had some bizarre infection, developed lupus, have a tumor, or was exposed to poison. It just sorta feels like when you eat an edible and you're moving in slow motion static. Very relieved that it wasn't due to some sort of snafu, likely just had some awkward pressure on my already irritated nerve (sorta under my left scapula) while under anethesia. I wish I could reach in there and pinch it so it stops being annoying.

Accupuncture, maybe... sharp needles and dermis could never cause any issue ever. The safest activity known under the sun. Probably has a lower mortality rate than chiropractic, at least. I've read that yoga might help.

I've been saying this for months but I'm gonna make the art page for my site... soon. I have much more leisure time this semester, so I'm going to knuckle down and learn how (code) lightboxes work in the near future.

I've also been wanting to root my Nook for a while. There's some essay collections and books on various interdisciplinary theories that I want to read, but are almost always way too fat to carry around. If it isn't a mass-market paperback, I don't like holding it. Not to mention that the Nook system out of box is ass.

Ummm... I also want to start a sketchbook specifically for building a visual library and studying... I got a little baby sketchbook a few days ago but I haven't used it yet. I want everything in there to be pretty intentional, so I'm just waiting until I'm in the mood to jot down what I want to study, I guess. Got the idea from a video on YouTube. Not particularly revolutionary or anything, but I like the idea of working on my own study and reference catalogue by hand.

Erm. Jesus Christ, there's so many gnats in the atrium where I'm sitting, they keep getting in my face!!!! Anyway, it's a lot colder outside today than I was expecting. I went out in a shortsleeve button up, an A-shirt, and shorts... Sniffle. I'm gonna look pitiful walking back to my car.
